of Research Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) in Gomal University has been established in 2014 to link research and commercialization from the Gomal University with emerging and existing firms across Pakistan and around the world. ORIC will develop its mechanism for research commercialization and will establish a Business\/Technology Incubator to work closely for<br>innovation and entrepreneurship. Gomal University laid the foundation of ORIC in September 2014. Since inception, ORIC had started working its activities as per HEC guideline. ORIC is committed to provide continuous support and facilitation to the researchers for the conduct of quality research in the university. Contributions of this office are reflecting in the Annual Report of Gomal University, 2024-25. First time in the history of Gomal University, ORIC obtained 45 points in the HEC Annual ORIC Score Card and secured the position In Y Category. 19 research projects were submitted to HEC &amp; Non HEC funding agencies, 3 research projects were approved and 6 research projects were completed during 2024-25 besides winning numerous start up research grants by fresh Ph.D faculty members appointed as Intern Placement for Foreign Students (IPFP), which have also recently been awarded. ORIC has started work on IPR and three patents have been filed to IPO Pakistan. Z.
