Introduction

The Bachelor of Science (BS) in Forestry Forestry and Range Management at Gomal University is a comprehensive four-year undergraduate program offered under the Faculty of Agriculture. Designed to address the growing need for sustainable forest management and environmental conservation, the program combines theoretical knowledge with practical fieldwork. Students engage in studies covering forest ecology, silviculture, agroforestry, biodiversity conservation, and climate change mitigation.

Admission to the BS Forestry Forestry and Range Management program requires candidates to have completed FA/FSc or an equivalent qualification with at least 50% marks. The selection process is merit-based, considering the applicant’s academic performance.
The curriculum is designed to equip students with the skills necessary for careers in forestry, environmental consultancy, and conservation. Through a blend of classroom instruction and hands-on experiences, graduates are prepared to contribute effectively to Pakistan’s forestry sector and environmental sustainability efforts.
