Introduction

The Department of Statistics is one of the twelve departments that were established at the inception of the Gomal University, Dera Ismail Khan in May 1974.. At university level, this was the first Department ever established in NWFP province. The Department offers BS and ADS program, and help to formulate ADS. Statistics curriculum for affiliated colleges of the Gomal University. There are Four regular faculty members engaged in teaching and research. The students of BS. Statistics are encouraged to carry out small research projects. Besides the Department is actively engaged in providing data analysis services to the research workers carrying out various research projects.
