Introduction

The M.Phil in Pakistan Studies at Gomal University, Dera Ismail Khan, is a rigorous postgraduate program designed to deepen students’ understanding of Pakistan’s historical, political, cultural, and socio-economic dimensions. The curriculum encompasses diverse subjects, including constitutional development, foreign policy, regional dynamics, and the ideological foundations of the nation. Eligibility for admission requires a 16-year education in a relevant field with at least a second division or a minimum CGPA of 2.5 out of 4.0. Applicants must also pass the GAT (General) or the university’s entry test with a minimum score of 60% . The admission process includes an application submission, entrance examination, and interview. Successful candidates are selected based on merit and test performance.
