Introduction

The Gomal Center of Biochemistry & Biotechnology (GCBB) at Gomal University, Dera Ismail Khan, is a prominent academic and research institution in Pakistan. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in biochemistry, biotechnology, and related fields. GCBB is equipped with advanced laboratories and facilities that support both academic instruction and cutting-edge research. Notably, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the GCBB laboratory became the second-largest testing facility in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, conducting over 200 tests daily and significantly contributing to public health efforts . The center’s faculty, including experts like Dr. Arshad Farid, are actively engaged in research areas such as microbial biotechnology and natural products . GCBB’s commitment to excellence in education and research has established it as a vital component of Gomal University’s scientific community.
